Longwood Wrestling Club
Folkstyle Wrestling for K-8th Graders
About the Club
Longwood Wrestling Club teaches folkstyle wrestling for kids in grades K-8 starting in November each year. We welcome all skill levels from beginner to elite.
Longwood Wrestling Club is affiliated with the Nordonia Wrestling Program. The club is open to kids from Nordonia Hills and the surrounding school districts, including St Barnabas, Walsh, and CVCA as well as Twinsburg, Hudson, Stow, Solon, Brecksville, and others.
Beginner wrestlers (1st & 2nd year) practice 2 days/week (Tues & Thurs), and advanced wrestlers (3rd year+ and jr high) practice 3 days/week (Mon, Weds, & Thurs). Practices are held in the wrestling room at Nordonia High School on Mon & Tues and at Walsh High School on Weds & Thurs.
Wrestling meets are held on Sundays, and other tournaments may be offered on Saturdays depending on interest and coach availability.
For K-6th, we primarily follow the Buckeye Wrestling Association league schedule.
Additional competitions for K-6th and Jr High may include OhioQuest, Ohio Athletic Committee , and OHWAY tournaments.
Registration for the 2025-26 season is now OPEN!
Introductory practices will be held on October 27th and 28th (see flyer).
Regular practices begin the week of November 3rd.
New for 2025:
- Longwood Wrestling Club is now a registered member of USA Wrestling, and all wrestlers are required to have a USA Wrestling membership to participate in the Club.
- All wrestlers will wear the same singlet for dual meets and for picture day. There is a $30 refundable singlet fee built into the registration cost. The singlet must be returned at the end of the season or the $30 fee will be forfeited to cover the cost of a replacement.
- The fee is $330 for beginners (2 days/wk) and $400 for experienced wrestlers (3 days/wk). All wrestlers will receive a practice bundle (t-shirt and shorts to keep) and a singlet to borrow for the season.
