Longwood Wrestling Club
Folkstyle Wrestling for K-8th Graders
Longwood Wrestling Club teaches folkstyle/collegiate wrestling November-March (the traditional school wrestling season) for wrestlers in grades K-8.
Practices are organized by age and experience. We welcome all skill levels from beginner to elite.
Intro practices: Oct 28 at Nordonia High School, 6-7:30 pm; Oct 29 at Walsh High School, 6-7:30 pm.
Practice Schedule: Monday-Thursday. 6-7:30 pm. November 4-Mar 20.
Practice groups are divided by age and experience:
- K-6th graders w/less than 2 yrs experience (beginners): Tues & Thurs
- 2nd-6th graders w/2+ yrs experience: Mon, Wed, & Thurs
- All 7th & 8th graders: Mon, Wed, & Thurs
Where:
- Monday & Tuesday @ Nordonia High School Wrestling Room (drive around back and enter through “Gymnasium” doors, Door #16. Wrestling room is to the right when you walk in)
- Wednesday & Thursday @ Walsh High School Wrestling Room (use south entrance and park by busses and softball field, entrance to wrestling room is just left of door #11)
Competition Schedule: November 23-March 22
For K-6th, we primarily follow the NEOYWL league schedule (Ohio Youth Wrestling Association). Additional competitions for K-6th and Jr High include OhioQuest and Ohio Athletic Committee tournaments.
