Mason Ridgley Memorial Scholarship

The Mason Ridgley Memorial Scholarship was established in 2023 to honor the memory of Mason Ridgley as a Nordonia Hills student and wrestler. Mason graduated in 2021. He died in a tragic motorcycle crash in June of 2023. He was only 20 years old.

Each year a $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to one promising high school senior who is a wrestler at Nordonia High School to assist with expenses for attending the college or trade school of their choice. All senior wrestlers at Nordonia High School are encouraged to apply.

Although recipients are under no obligation to make repayment, it is hoped that once graduated and engaged in a productive career they will help honor the memory of Mason by giving back to the wrestling community in some way.

Selection of the scholarship recipient is based on the student’s involvement in the wrestling program and overall academic standing. A 500-word essay and letter of recommendation are required to be considered for the award.

Applications must be submitted electronically by March 31, 2024 using the form link below. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Applicants will be notified by email with the committee’s decision on or before May 1, 2024.
